Did you know that the average person in the INDIA now spends an entire day every week on their phone?

Bengaluru: The time spent by Indians on smartphones has increased by 24% to 4.3 hours a day on lockdown-driven machines, according to data from analytics app company Annie for android phones.

This is an important milestone compared to 3.5 hours per day on average in 2019 as consumers spend more and more time on mobile games like PUBG, Social Networks like TikTok and Facebook Without using video chat apps like bringing both social and family communication out of office to work and go at school.

The increase in spending time is part of a global trend, as countries most affected by the Covid-19 epidemic such as Italy and Spain have seen the highest opposition rates of 34% and 28% respectively.

But since locking restrictions are simplistic in the future, the total time spent may drop if the numbers from China are indicative. While the country was under total closure in February it saw a 30% increase in time to 5 hours, in March when the limits were reduced to 4.3 hours, according to the Annie app details. But it was a total gain of 12% as the average time on smartphones was 3.9 hours in 2019 in China.

While India had a 'Janta Curfew' March 22, the 21-day closure in the country started on March 25. The temporary closure has been extended to May 3 now and it is expected that these routes will increase in April.
